Sugar Steak Clothing

About Us

Plain and simple, I started Sugar Steak Apparel (SSA) because I wanted to counteract the “affliction” of overly macho, predictable, and all-too-common attire in our society. While attending college (the worst years of my life) I began designing the fun, unique, and stylish shirts I wanted to wear and I had a feeling I was not the only person who felt this way so I decided to start an apparel line. After some trial and error I eventually found the vibe I wanted to promote with my shirts and the name Sugar Steak soon followed. At the time it was unknown to me that Sugar Steak was the name of an actual recipe; I had simply fallen in love with the name because it was kinda crazy. So I set forth armed with a solid name and a fresh vibe. I began sketching up design after design, putting a new spin on the old saying "opposites attract" by combining something that was sweet with something that was meat on each and every tee. I side-tracked for a bit and tossed a rendition of myself into the mix with the bubble boy logo, basically just a cartoon version of me at a young age. Anyway, months passed, crap happened, and it seemed like I was never going to be able to crank out my designs, but with the help of my family and friends I was finally able to get my first run of shirts printed in early 2010. I then quit my job and sold my car so I could afford to devote more time to the brand and I officially launched this online store shortly after.

Sugar Steak tees are printed in lesser quantities than what you would find with a typical brand. This in combination with the fact they are only offered online ensures you will remain an individual when wrapped in the Sugar Steak name. I would love to hear your opinions/suggestions about the line, whether good or bad, hopefully good, so feel free to drop me a line through the contact form. Also if you have a band, or you consider yourself amazing on any kind of board or bike, let me know, and I will consider working up a sponsorship for you. Hell, I'm even down to sponsor everyday folk, just tell me why you think I should.

Thanks for supporting the steak,

-KC
